Welcome to the Alleluia Gang website!

We are a bunch of Christians having a great time using puppetry and exciting visual aids to communicate the Gospel to young and old - in fact to anyone who will listen.

Our church is experimenting and developing our skills in this work, and would love to share tips and experience with you if you have the same interest. We are particularly keen to involve the young people in our church, and they are having a great time sharing in preaching the gospel to their friends and family...... and having fellowship and a good laugh as well!

The Alleluia Gang started in 1999. Mainly for the Yorkshire Sunday school camp, for the under 10’s. We got a group of around 6 people together from Cutsyke Gospel Hall and away we went. I Jason Westmoreland started using puppets around 6 years ago, which I used in school assemblies and church events.

I have been a member of a Fellowship Christian Magicians Europe for over 17 years, where I used gospel magic to communicate God’s word and I also use balloons. In 2003 the Alleluia Gang went to their first puppet training ministry day held in Leeds by One way UK and we were so inspired by what we saw that we are now fully committed in training our puppet team. We have around 20 – 25 team members mostly from Cutsyke Gospel Hall but some from other churches locally, Our age’s range from 7 – 30ish.

We have done the Yorkshire Sunday school camp for 4 years now. We have done the Bee-Attitudes, Fruit Of The Spirit, The Kings Commandments and in 2003 we have made up our own program based around a hospital. This year will be our first time that we have especially done something for the older teens/adults as we perform ‘courtroom’ song by Carman, This involves 15 puppeteers plus smoke machine lights props, Etc.

The main reason that we use the puppets is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, all our members believe in the holy trinity made up of God The Father, Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit. We believe that God created the heaven and the earth and that for the salvation of man Jesus Christ was placed on earth through the virgin birth was crucified and rose from the dead and that the holy spirit is actively working in the world today calling us to his service.

We mainly use puppets from One way UK but we also have many other puppets from different companies.

Puppet Practice – at Cutsyke Gospel Hall

These practice nights are lots of fun. We learn new puppet songs, practice, make props, back drops and spend a short time in prayer.
